So Ryan and I are hosting a free concert at the downtown plaza here in Gainesville in order to get people to vote. Now, he came up with the idea of giving it the message of opposing the proposed draft (or draft bill which sits before Congress), but the liklihood of the draft being reinstated is slim to none. So we're essentially trying to rally people behind a purposeless cause since the draft bill wouldn't be passed anyway.
Which is kind of ironic considering that the Warhawks in Congress and Bush are trying to rally people behind a blind and false war cause. Are we any better?
Regardless, the title of the event is still pretty cool ... "Fuck The Draft". Seeing flyers posted up around town which say that is a pretty rare experience too.
