Let's imagine that everyone's deepest desire comes true and the federal government and many states legalize Marijuana. Many major corporations would sprout up to take advantage of this market. Next would come the advertisers and marketers. Finally, there would be the consumer.

I have to wonder: what kind of advertising would you find from the Weedcos and Mary-J Industries of the future?

You start hearing catch lines, catchy jingles, trademarks for pot. I think this is an area of advertising that would be a major money maker and a major source of amusement.

They could recycle old catch lines and use them to apply to weed: Can't smoke just one!..... "Have you sniffen a Splifff - Lately?" ..... "Got weed?" .... "Mmm Mmm Good" .... "Weed, the choice of a New Generation".

The possibilities are endless.

You could come up with your own, could you imagine Greenage Corp.'s latest slogan: "The Green is What I Mean!".

Also, what about the mascots of the pot companies? Tobacco has Joe Camel and the marlboro cowboys. What would our marijuana distributers have to hawk their goodies? Maybe Cheech & Chong as Cartoons? or The Baboons of bling, bling Inc. Maybe a surfer Camel for when RJ Reynolds starts selling weed-hyrbid cigarettes.

I think this is an area that ripe to make tons of money and to use for a large spectacle of entertainment. So come on, lets's legalize pot for the sake of some mindless amusement.
