A friend, who will be shortly entering the Army, told me that he wants to get a concealed weapons permit and carry "a big fucking knife". I told him that was crazy, because a "big fucking knife" isn't practical.
He said, "sure it is, a lot more practical than a gun"!
I thought about this, and asked him how many times he's needed to shoot or stab someone versus how many times he's need to cut open a box.
He said not very often, but maybe that would change.
I hope he didn't mean that as wishful thinking.
